Job Summary
Exchange medical waste containers and service units in clinical areas, entering procedural spaces while maintaining safety around sensitive equipment and patients. Lift containers up to 50 lbs and push/pull carts weighing 300 lbs throughout the day. Manage inventory to ensure all areas are stocked, keep staging zones clean, and report issues via a company smartphone. Work directly with hospital staff to ensure timely exchanges and proper segregation across St. Francis Downtown Hospital, Cancer Center, and Eastside Hospital. This permanent role offers a consistent M-F schedule starting at 7am, with a competitive rate of $21-23 per hour plus mileage reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- 32-34 hours per week availability
- Physically fit
- Comfortable with heavy lifting

- Previous experience in a labor-intensive or logistics role
- Must be able to lift containers up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to push/pull carts up to 300 lbs
- Must be able to enter procedural spaces and work around sensitive equipment and patients
- Must be able to represent Daniels Health with professionalism, positivity, and a strong work ethic
- Must be able to use a company-provided smartphone to manage tasks, report issues, and communicate with your team
- Must be able to maintain inventory of containers and ensure all areas are stocked and organized
- Must be able to keep staging areas clean and orderly before and after service
- Must be able to work directly with hospital staff to ensure safe and timely medical waste container exchanges and proper segregation
- Must be able to inspect and service Daniels Health containers in clinical areas
