Job Summary

Develop and execute an integrated territory business plan to drive sales of anti-infective products to hospital decision-makers, including formulary access, protocol readiness, and discharge pathway support. Engage infectious disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and case management teams to deliver scientific presentations and address clinical barriers impacting product adoption. Secure formulary wins and translate market access achievements into consistent prescribing and utilization. Collaborate with nurse navigators, discharge planners, and specialty pharmacy partners to optimize patient access and therapy continuity. Analyze utilization trends and local market dynamics to prioritize high-value customers and maximize sales opportunities within the assigned Albany and White Plains territory. Manage the territory budget and maintain compliance with all industry policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree from an accredited institution
  • Valid driver's license
  • 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/medical/biotech industry
  • 3+ years of experience calling on hospitals and health systems
  • Experience with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within assigned geography, including overnight travel
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds

Desired Qualifications

  • Consistent record of top-tier sales performance and proven product launch success
  • Demonstrated success driving demand generation within hospitals
  • Anti-Infective experience preferred
  • Expertise in account selling and managing complex sales processes
  • Deep knowledge of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, key stakeholder roles and decision-making processes (P&T, formulary, etc.)
  • Experience engaging specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership
  • Experience collaborating across hospital and community care settings
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Analyze data and trends to create actionable business plans
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing market conditions
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to all regulatory, legal, and compliance standards
  • Exceptional presentation and selling skills, coupled with strong business acumen
