Hospital Security Officer - Full-Time, 1st shift

Monitor security cameras and patrol assigned premises to detect suspicious activity, unauthorized access, or safety hazards. Enforce access control policies by checking identification, issuing visitor passes, and restricting entry to authorized personnel only. Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or security incidents including medical emergencies, fire hazards, or criminal activity, reporting escalations to law enforcement as needed. Document all incidents and safety concerns in clear, accurate reports. Conduct foot or vehicle patrols to check entrances, parking lots, and perimeters for unlocked doors or tampered gates. Greet visitors and employees, providing directions and answering inquiries while maintaining a professional demeanor. Inspect premises for fire risks and safety hazards, and handle minor disputes using de-escalation skills. Work closely with other security staff and emergency responders to coordinate efforts. Requires one year of prior security experience, intermediate computer skills, and ability to stand and walk for long periods.
