Job Summary
Provide comprehensive medical care to admitted patients, managing their hospital stay and coordinating discharge. Deliver care to 12-14 patients during day shifts and cross-cover up to 30 patients on night shifts, including geographic rounding to partner hospitals. Communicate with primary care physicians, specialists, and nurses to ensure smooth care transitions. Attend to codes and rapid response events for patients in open ICUs, excluding Washington Hospital Center. No procedures are required. This role supports MAPMG's physician-led model of long-term health and prevention within the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Currently licensed or able to obtain licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia
