Hospital Rounder- Nocturnist

Provide overnight inpatient medical care, including admissions, consults, cross-coverage, and rapid clinical assessment for acutely ill hospitalized patients. Evaluate hospitalization appropriateness for new admissions, collaborate with the Emergency Department and care management, and coordinate specialty consultations while facilitating safe transitions to the daytime Hospital Medicine team. Practice independently overnight to support patient throughput, utilization management, and quality initiatives, ensuring timely admissions and appropriate level-of-care decisions. You will have access to integrated outpatient records in the EMR to facilitate admissions, with no procedures required. Shifts run from 7p to 7a, with seven shifts per 14-day block.
