Hospital Registration Specialist

Facilitate patient tracking and billing by obtaining and verifying accurate demographic information, securing financial responsibility from guarantors, and collecting out-of-pocket payments to maximize hospital reimbursement. Maintain compliance with EMTALA, DNV, and HIPAA regulations while scanning clinical documentation, entering insurance benefits, and obtaining required authorizations. Provide excellent customer service by answering calls, recording messages, and assisting with patient transfers or medical record requests. Maximize collection efficiency by pursuing collections at the time of service and maintaining logs for patients, payments, and admissions. Manage the cash drawer, maintain a clean facility environment, and coordinate deliveries. Requires fluency in English and Spanish for the El Paso Market, two years of patient registration experience, and knowledge of various insurance plans.
