Job Summary
Conduct respiratory assessments, administer prescribed therapies, manage oxygen and mechanical ventilation, and perform diagnostic testing per physician orders and clinical protocols. Provide as-needed respiratory care services to patients in a hospital setting while supporting variable scheduling based on patient volume and operational demand. Work under supervision of Respiratory Therapy leadership in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team. This role includes nights, weekends, holidays, on-call coverage, and call-backs as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Respiratory Therapy certification or licensure
- Experience working in a hospital setting
- Ability to perform respiratory assessments
- Ability to administer prescribed respiratory therapies
- Ability to manage oxygen therapy
- Ability to manage mechanical ventilation
- Ability to perform diagnostic testing
- Knowledge of physician orders
- Knowledge of established clinical protocols
- Knowledge of professional standards
- Ability to support patient care needs
- Ability to work variable shifts
