Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Collect specimens for testing and analysis, enter patient data accurately, and process billing and payments. Prepare all collected specimens for analysis while maintaining patient and specimen logs. Provide superior customer service to patients and handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Work Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM with rotating weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 months or more of phlebotomy experience
- Reliable transportation
- Clean driving record if applicable
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
Desired Qualifications
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
