Job Summary
Conduct night coverage of a closed ICU model at a Level I Trauma Center, managing cross-coverage of approximately 230–240 patients with an average of 7–8 admissions per physician. Utilize advanced AI-powered tools like Regard and DAX Copilot to streamline documentation and focus on patient care. Participate in a team structure with swing and in-house physicians for admissions, rapid responses, and code execution. Work flexible block schedules (7 on/7 off) from 7 PM to 5 AM or 9 PM to 7 AM, rotating weekends monthly. Join a collaborative, non-procedural environment supported by full in-house specialty services.

- Physician licensure in North Carolina
- Physician licensure in Nevada
- Physician licensure in South Carolina
- Physician licensure in South Dakota
- Physician licensure in Tennessee
- Physician licensure in Texas
- Physician licensure in Virginia
- Physician licensure in West Virginia
- Physician licensure in Wisconsin
- Ability to work third shift (nights) from 7PM – 5AM or 9PM - 7AM
- Availability for 182 shifts per year
- Availability for a minimum of 2 weekends per month
- Ability to handle a patient load of approximately 230-240 patients
- Ability to manage an average of 7-8 admissions per MD per night
- Ability to participate in cross-coverage with a team of 1 swing physician and 3 in-house physicians
- Ability to handle admissions and rapid responses (MRT)
- Ability to work in a closed ICU model
- Ability to work in a Level I Trauma Center
- Ability to work with full in-house specialty support
- Ability to adhere to clearly defined service line agreements with specialists
- Ability to work in a non-procedural role (no required procedures)
- Ability to utilize advanced AI-powered tools such as Regard and DAX Copilot
- Ability to work in a collaborative, high-acuity environment
Desired Qualifications
- POCUS training (CME-supported)
- Experience with Epic EHR
- Experience with Regard
- Experience with DAX Copilot
- Ability to work flexible block scheduling (primarily 7 on / 7 off)
- Ability to work holiday rotations including Labor Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Year's Day
- Ability to work in a coastal Virginia environment
- Ability to work in a non-profit (501c3) setting
- Ability to work in a PSLF Eligible setting
