Job Summary
Intensivist needed for the Cardiothoracic ICU (CICU) at Joseph’s Hospital & Medical Center. Provide advanced critical care for cardiovascular surgical, thoracic/esophageal surgical, and cardiac patients in a multidisciplinary CICU, with emphasis on teamwork with midlevel providers and contribution to academic productivity. Experience with ECMO cannulation and participation in a Cardiovascular Shock Team are expected, with hands-on training available for state-of-the-art mechanical circulatory support (MCS). Affiliated with Creighton University School of Medicine (Phoenix Campus), offering faculty appointments, research, quality improvement, and patient advocacy opportunities. Requires completed ACGME Residency and Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine or Critical Care Medicine (or eligible), ABMS board certification, Arizona medical licensure, and eligibility for hospital/surgical privileges. Required Qualifications
- Completed ACGME Residency training with current ABMS Board Certification
- Completed ACGME Fellowship training with current (or eligible) ABMS Board Certification in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine or Critical Care Medicine
- Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals
- Must obtain Arizona State medical licensure prior to starting the position
