Job Summary

Hospital Medicine Advanced Practice Provider, PRN role providing inpatient hematology/oncology care. Responsible for assessment, treatment planning, symptom management, patient education, care coordination, and collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Serve as primary liaison between patients, clinicians, and care teams; collaborate with physicians to assess patient needs and recommend interventions; enter/manage orders in the electronic medical record; complete clinical documentation including histories, physicals, consults, follow-ups, patient education, and informed consents; coordinate patient care and support patient flow; maintain licensure and professional certifications; participate in ongoing professional development and hospital initiatives; perform additional duties as assigned by supervising physician.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Georgia licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • For Nurse Practitioners: National Board Certification through the ANCC or AANP
  • For Physician Assistants: Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and successful completion of the PANCE through NCCPA
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (if obtained through another provider, certification must be completed within 30 days of hire)
