Job Summary
Complete job assignments for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance repairs in a timely and efficient manner. Perform preventive maintenance procedures, including greasing motors, cleaning filters, and conducting electrical safety checks. Participate as a member of the fire response team and perform work in crisis situations when time is of the essence. Inspect the building during service calls, report problems to the Plant Operations office, and ensure all documentation, tool returns, and equipment tagging are completed accurately. Full-time position with on-call rotation. Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital specializes in cardiac, orthopedic, and general medical care, operating a 24-hour emergency department and multiple operating rooms.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years working experience in building maintenance
- Skills in plumbing
- Skills in electrical
- Skills in HVAC
- Skills in boilers
- Skills in chillers
- Skills in pumps
- Skills in domestic water systems
- Skills in mechanical work
- Hospital environment experience preferred
- A valid Texas Driver's License
- No driving while intoxicated (DWI) convictions
- No other factors which would preclude insurability
- High School Diploma or GED
