Job Summary
Hospital Maintenance Mechanic responsible for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, chillers, and pumps; performs preventive maintenance, routine repairs, building-maintenance tasks, documentation, and participates in fire-response. Requires minimum two years of building maintenance experience, HS diploma or GED, and a valid Texas driver's license. On-site full-time role with on-call duties at Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital, with a focus on safe, efficient operation and continuous improvement in a hospital environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years working experience in building maintenance with skills which include plumbing, electrical, HVAC, boilers, chillers, pumps, domestic water systems, and mechanical work experience.
- Hospital environment experience preferred.
- A valid Texas Driver’s License with no driving while intoxicated (DWI) convictions or any other factors which would preclude insurability is required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Familiar with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, boilers, chillers, pumps, domestic water systems, mechanical repair and general building maintenance techniques.
