Job Summary
Transport clean linen in covered carts to designated areas and collect soiled linen from various locations for transportation. Verify delivered quantities, perform inventory checks, and resolve client issues through effective communication with supervisors and internal resources. Operate laundry equipment, carts, and storage mechanisms while maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe department in adherence to Joint Commission Standards. Perform general clerical duties such as typing and answering phones. Requires ability to lift 35 pounds and push carts weighing up to 250 pounds. Full-time evening, night shift, weekend, and holiday schedule with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED
- 1 to 2 years of experience in the health care, manufacturing or similarly situated industries
- Solid customer relations and service skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive can do attitude with the ability to lead
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for long period of times, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and reach for various items
- Ability to operate laundry equipment, carts, and storage and dispensing mechanisms
- Ability to keep court and stack individual items into carts
- Ability to lift to 35 pounds
- Ability to push or pull a cart that may weigh up to 250 pounds
- Willingness to work evenings, night shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Must be comfortable at giving and receiving open feedback
- Basic computer knowledge and the willingness to learn new computer applications
