Hospital Liaison

Job Summary
Conduct daily discharge planning meetings to record patient needs and coordinate equipment delivery to both hospital rooms and patient homes. Meet with patients, families, and caregivers to review discharge plans, educate them on equipment use and maintenance, and complete necessary paperwork. Manage consignment accounts, including inventory and the consignment process, while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA, The Joint Commission, and state regulatory boards. Support branch operations such as inventory tracking, records-keeping, and order entry as needed. Travel between the branch and hospital locations to fulfill duties.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Six months' experience in healthcare/medical/insurance/DME customer service role
- Some travel is required between the branch and hospital location
- Overnight travel may be required for continuing education and meetings at the corporate office
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include both close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
