Job Summary
Attend daily discharge planning meetings to record patient needs and coordinate equipment delivery to homes. Meet with patients and caregivers to review discharge plans, identify additional needs, and deliver equipment to patient rooms. Educate families on equipment use, care, and maintenance while completing necessary paperwork and answering questions. Manage consignment accounts including inventory, paperwork, and the consignment process to ensure efficiency and cost reduction. Support branch operations such as inventory management, records-keeping, and order entry while maintaining compliance with HIPAA, The Joint Commission, and state regulatory boards. Travel between the branch and hospital locations as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Six months' experience in healthcare/medical/insurance/DME customer service role
- Some travel is required between the branch and hospital location
- Overnight travel may be required for continuing education and meetings at the corporate office
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Both close and distance vision
- Color and peripheral vision
- Depth perception and ability to adjust focus
