Job Summary
The Interventional Radiology Technologist is responsible for completing work in all areas of Interventional Radiology (IR), including sterile technique, product allocation, positioning, and procedure preparation. This role involves performing specialized technical skills in various vascular, nonvascular, and interventional procedures. The position requires the individual to be on-call and available to respond to work requests in a hospital setting. The technologist operates under general supervision of a Radiologist and is expected to adhere to established protocols while also serving as an educator and role model for less-tenured team members.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of work in all areas of IR
- Ability to perform specialized technical skills in vascular, nonvascular, and interventional procedures
- Experience with sterile technique, product allocation, and positioning
- Availability for on-call hours
- Ability to work under the supervision of a Radiologist
- Capability to function as an educator and role model
