Job Summary
Environmental Services Technician cleans and disinfects patient rooms, floors, offices, conference rooms, equipment, furniture, common areas, and waiting rooms following hospital-approved infection prevention standards. Uses PPE, understands how to handle waste (regular, recycling, hazardous, chemo, regulated medical waste, pharmaceutical, radioactive), follows required dwell times for products, and complies with federal/state/local regulations. Position requires lifting up to 25 pounds, and shift is 3:00 pm–11:30 pm, Monday–Friday with every-other weekend; located at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center – Neenah, WI. Knowledge of hospital chemicals/disinfectants and infection prevention protocols, ability to work independently or in a team, and adherence to confidentiality and ethical standards are expected.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
