Job Summary
Responsible for managing active organ referrals within assigned hospitals and developing customized strategic plans for targeted hospitals. Establishes relationships with key physicians, conducts daily hospital education and responds to referrals, collaborates with Palliative Care regarding withdrawal of life-sustaining therapy, and maintains accurate documentation and communication of donor status with Gift of Life clinical staff. Seeks quality improvement opportunities, stays current with healthcare literature on organ and tissue donation, and participates in healthcare educational displays. Demonstrates strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication, organizational, and presentation skills; proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams) and able to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a professional, compassionate manner.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the essential duties (e.g., healthcare, biology, exercise science, marketing, communications, or business development) or combination of education and experience
- At least 1 year work experience in a hospital or similar setting
