Job Summary
Direct and manage the Food and Nutritional Department's daily operations across the Superblock (Tisch, Kimmel, Science, ACC, OCC), ensuring compliance with State, Local, Federal, and Joint Commission regulations. Oversee patient meal assembly, service, cash operations, cafeteria, catering, vending, and sanitation while eliminating waste and maintaining portion control. Assure appropriate staffing of skilled Nutrition professionals, conduct staff training on equipment and policies, and maintain accurate EMR interfaces. Monitor quality improvement programs, review financial reports, and align departmental programming with organizational goals through close collaboration with Human Resources and senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Food and/or Nutrition or Culinary Arts
- 6-8+ years' progressive operations experience in related areas, at the managerial level in a high volume setting
- National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation for ServSafe Protection Certification (obtained within 6 months of hire)
- Thorough knowledge of codes relevant to Food Service including HACCP and TJC standards, as well as departmental Policies and Procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Desired Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Food & Nutrition and / or Registered Dietitian
- 10 years expansive experience in related areas of Food Service Management
