Job Summary
Direct and deliver quality patient care utilizing the nursing process and standards, either directly or through appropriate delegation. Manage the nursing staff in their performance of services while adjusting patient assignments to ensure safe care according to acuity. Facilitate communication among personnel, patients, families, and external institutions, and act as a resource regarding patient care. Provide appropriate staffing levels while being fiscally responsible, and actively participate in formulating and revising hospital and unit policies. Demonstrate leadership in managing specialized patient care populations and prioritize direction in emergency situations. Work 36 weekly hours in Spearfish, SD, with a starting pay range of $40.60 to $50.75. Requires an approved nursing education program and RN certification.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing
- Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing
- 1+ years of Charge Nurse Experience
- 5+ years of Ambulatory Experience
- 5+ years of Registered Nurse Experience
- The ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by the department
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Exerting up to 30 pounds of force frequently
- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force constantly
