Job Summary
Senior hospital leadership role overseeing strategy, operations, and financial performance. Responsibilities include planning and executing market and organizational plans, identifying special projects (physician recruitment and retention, marketing issues, new program implementation), developing physician development plans, setting short- and long-term goals to align with hospital values, organizing hospital functions through delegated accountability, and recommending policy positions to the Governing Board. The role requires coordinating with the Corporate CEO, developing business terms and feasibility studies, building relationships with physicians and local stakeholders, managing financials (budget and internal controls), ensuring regulatory compliance (HIPAA and applicable standards), maintaining professional affiliations, and driving community integration and public relations. Requirements include advanced degrees in healthcare or business administration (preferred), 5+ years in healthcare management with physician-practice experience being helpful, and a strong track record in leadership, negotiation, and strategic development.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, finance, or clinical specialty preferred.
- Education: Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or clinical specialty preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years experience in healthcare management, business development and post acute care may substitute for education; experience with physician practice management is helpful.
