Job Summary
Sterile Processing Technician 2 supports Harborview’s Surgical Services by decontaminating, processing, sterilizing, and assembling complex surgical instrument sets. Responsibilities include loading and operating cart washers and autoclaves, performing sterilizer tests, inspecting and labeling packages, managing inventory and expiration dates, and preparing patient equipment (IV pumps, vacuum regulators, wall suction, and related items) for use in the operating rooms. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of relevant experience; night shift options available. The role is based in Seattle at Harborview Medical Center / UW Medicine.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduation or equivalent
- one to two years of experience processing complex trays of surgical instruments and equipment (equivalent education/experience may be considered)
