Job Summary
Oversee nursing operations across Homecare and Inpatient Hospice during weekends, serving as the primary clinical resource for staff while managing real-time staffing adjustments for adequate coverage. Provide direct supervision to Hospice House Aides, including oversight of hiring, performance monitoring, and training reinforcement, while assisting with weekend admissions and interdisciplinary care transitions. Ensure compliance with hospice regulations, promote patient safety initiatives, and deliver direct patient care during high-acuity periods or staffing gaps. Requires a current California RN license with three years of experience, regular Saturday and Sunday shifts, and flexibility to support operational needs outside scheduled hours.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current California RN license
- At least three (3) years of experience as a professional nurse
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working effectively with an interdisciplinary team
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of acceptable automobile insurance coverage
- Reliable transportation
- Excellent computer skills
- Regular Saturdays and Sundays
- Flexibility to support operational needs outside of scheduled shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Prior nursing management/leadership experience
- BSN or MSN degree
- At least one (1) year of hospice or palliative care experience
- CHPN certification
