Job Summary
Provide companionship and friendship to clients and facilitate community activities. Offer specialized support in areas such as veteran services, Reiki, massage, pet therapy, craft volunteering, and end-of-life doula services. Share talents in music or art, assist as transport escorts when needed, and support office clerical tasks. Plan memorial services and deliver bereavement support to loved ones. This role is part of the Hospice Interdisciplinary Group, focusing on terminal illness and end-of-life care. Volunteers must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, complete a criminal background check, and meet all state requirements for volunteers and relevant disciplines. The position is unpaid and based in the Joplin, Carthage, and Neosho areas.
