Hospice RN - Inpatient Unit (PRN)

Job Summary
Assess patient history, perform age-specific physical and psychosocial evaluations, and initiate referrals and interventions following policy guidelines. Develop and update Plans of Care with patients, families, the interdisciplinary team, and physicians while administering, monitoring, and documenting medications via all routes. Provide patient and family teaching tailored to learning needs, oversee LPNs and Home Health Aides, and support disaster preparedness and regulatory inspections. Work 12-hour shifts with a minimum of four per month, including weekend days, with flexibility for reassignment to alternate facilities at your own expense.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- Minimum of 1 year of current active nursing experience
- Valid Florida license as a Registered Nurse
- Valid Florida State Driver's License
- Ability to remain flexible and work at alternate facility where there is a business need for reassignment for one or more shifts at an alternative facility
- Responsibility for their own transportation to the alternate facility and at their expense
- Active, valid driver's license (if mode of transportation is self-driving)
- Proof of valid automobile insurance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in caring for terminally ill patients or those with life threatening illnesses
- One (1) year experience in an acute or post acute care setting
