Job Summary
Hospice RN - Inpatient Unit (PRN) provides end-of-life care in a Hospice House setting. Responsibilities include obtaining patient history, conducting age-specific assessments, developing and updating a Plan of Care with patient/family and IDT, administering and documenting medications, providing patient/family teaching, supervising LPNs and Home Health Aides, ensuring adherence to palliative care principles, and supporting operations and disaster preparedness. Requires an Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent, Florida RN license, 1 year of nursing experience, and a valid Florida driver’s license. On-site, part-time PRN role located in Ocala, FL with potential shifts at Summerfield Hospice Houses as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- Minimum of 1 year of current active nursing experience; preferred experience with terminally ill patients or life-threatening illnesses
- Valid Florida license as a Registered Nurse
- Valid Florida State Driver’s License
- Ability to remain flexible and work at alternate facility as needed (reassignment to alternate facility)
