Job Summary
Hospice of Virginia seeks an experienced RN Executive Director to lead the Forest office. The role combines high-level leadership with hands-on program administration in hospice, home health, or SNF settings, overseeing clinical and administrative operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, staff development, and contract management with community providers. The Executive Director will delegate responsibilities to administrative and supervisory personnel, monitor program administration and compliance, establish personnel qualifications and staffing patterns, authorize staff appointments in collaboration with leadership, and oversee adherence to personnel policies, procedures, and contracts. Ideal candidates hold RN licensure with a strong nursing background, an associate degree or higher in a related field, substantial supervisory/administrative experience in hospice/home health, and proven program-management and policy-implementation skills. Additional requirements include reliable transportation and appropriate auto insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited registered nursing (RN) program (strongly preferred)
- Minimum Associate degree in business, healthcare or related field
- Minimum of 5 years related experience
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or administrative experience in hospice or home health setting
- Experienced in program administration including knowledge of healthcare policies and reimbursement practices
- Must have reliable transportation, current driver's license, and appropriate auto insurance
