Job Summary
Conduct nursing evaluation visits for new admissions and regularly re-evaluate patient needs. Consult with the patient's physician and coordinate services with health team members. Complete bedside documentation using the EMR and ensure the final chapter of each patient's life is one of quality, compassion, and dignity. Drive long distances to homes and facilities while working in varied home environments. It may be necessary to work beyond scheduled hours to ensure adequate patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school
- Valid license as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Driver's license
- Personal automobile
- Current automobile liability insurance
- Able to push, pull, or lift 50 pounds
- Push up to 200 pounds in a wheelchair
- Communication by phone, writing, speaking
- Regular use of computer screen and keyboarding
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of relevant nursing experience
