Job Summary
Lead the day-to-day operations of a mid-sized hospice location, managing interdisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements. Direct clinical quality initiatives, oversee financial performance including budget management and billing reviews, and handle human resources functions such as hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions. Coordinate with the Governing Body, referral partners, and the community to drive strategic goals and service delivery, while conducting site visits, processing emergency calls, and investigating incidents to implement corrective measures. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and safety protocols, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed to uphold the organization's mission of compassionate end-of-life care.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with minimum of Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Minimum one year management/supervisory experience
- Two or more years' experience in hospice/home care
- Meets all state-specific requirements for the Administrator role
- Current license to practice nursing in the state of requested employment
- CPR Certification
- Current automobile insurance and valid driver's license
- Strong understanding of hospice regulations, compliance, and Medicare conditions of participation
- Proven ability to manage teams, budgets, and interdisciplinary operations
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Commitment to high-quality, compassionate care for patients and families
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
- Three to five years' healthcare sales/ management experience
- Three years' experience in direct patient care in a clinical setting
