Job Summary
Assess and evaluate patient status, write and initiate plans of care, and regularly re-evaluate patient and family needs while developing care plans based on nursing diagnoses. Initiate preventive and rehabilitative procedures, administer medications as prescribed, and complete accurate clinical notes regarding condition and care given. Communicate with physicians regarding needs and reports changes in condition, attend interdisciplinary group meetings, and ensure arrangements for equipment and services are available. Participate in on-call duties, supervise ancillary personnel, and actively participate in quality assessment performance improvement teams. Maintain current BLS CPR certification and possess a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years' nursing experience
- Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Proficient with electronic medical records
- Excellent bedside manner and communication skills
- Working knowledge of health care laws and regulations
- Maintain current BLS CPR certification
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Own a reliable, insured vehicle
- Participate in on-call duties
- Supervise ancillary personnel and delegate responsibilities when required
- Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development
- Maintain and upgrade professional knowledge and practice skills through attendance and participation in continuing education and in-service classes
- Fulfill the obligation of requested and/or accepted case assignments
- Actively participate in quality assessment performance improvement teams and activities
- Monday – Friday schedule
- Full-time employment
