HOSPICE REGISTERED NURSE - ON CALL

Job Summary
Hospice RN - On Call provides after-hours symptom management and medication administration for hospice patients, conducts assessments, educates patients and families on end-of-life care, maintains timely documentation in the electronic medical record, collaborates with the hospice interdisciplinary team, coordinates with pharmacies for urgent medication needs, and adheres to policies and regulatory requirements. Requires current unrestricted RN licensure, nursing education from an approved school, at least two years of clinical nursing experience with hospice experience preferred, CPR certification, strong assessment/critical thinking, excellent communication, ability to work independently, and a valid driver’s license. Location: Fayetteville, NC (Cumberland County).
Required Qualifications
- Current unrestricted RN licensure in state of practice
- successful completion of nursing education from an approved school of nursing
- two years of clinical nursing experience
- at least one year of hospice nursing experience preferred
- CPR certification required
- strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- compassionate and patient-centered approach
- proficiency in using electronic medical records and basic computer skills
- valid driver’s license
