Job Summary
HOSPICE REGISTERED NURSE (RN) for Liberty Hospice, Part Time. Apply a working knowledge of nursing theories and concepts; care and documentation of care meeting reimbursement guidelines; coordinate physical care of the patient with family, patient, physician and Hospice team; communicate with patients/families at all levels and with all agency personnel; attend IDT meetings and quality review as scheduled by agency. Requirements: current RN licensure in state of practice, nursing education from an approved school with two years of clinical nursing experience and at least one year of hospice nursing experience preferred; knowledge of home health and hospice care program, nursing practice act, agency policies/procedures, and reimbursement guidelines; 12 hours of continuing education annually; CPR certification; travel based on agency need as well as weekend/evening and holiday call assignments.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in state of practice
- Successful completion of a nursing education from an approved school of nursing
- Two years of clinical nursing experience
- At least one year of hospice nursing experience preferred
- Knowledge of framework, function, and organization of a home health and hospice care program
- Nurse’s role as a member of the patient care team
- Working knowledge of nursing practice acts, agency policies/procedures, and reimbursement guidelines
- 12 hours of continuing education annually
- CPR certification
- Accept travel based on agency need as well as weekend/evening and holiday call assignments
