HOSPICE REGISTERED NURSE

Job Summary
Provide hospice nursing care as an RN, delivering state-of-the-art care and pain management to patients and families; document care meeting reimbursement guidelines; coordinate physical care with family, patient, physician, and the Hospice team; communicate with patients/families and agency personnel; participate in IDT meetings and quality review; travel as required and cover weekend/evening/holiday shifts; must hold current RN licensure, complete nursing education from an approved school, and possess CPR certification; two years of clinical nursing experience with hospice experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in state of practice
- Successful completion of nursing education from an approved school of nursing
- Two years of clinical nursing experience
- At least one year of hospice nursing experience preferred
- Knowledge of home health and hospice care program
- Nurse’s role in patient care team
- Working knowledge of nursing practice act, agency policies and procedures, reimbursement guidelines
- 12 hours of continuing education annually
- CPR certification
- Travel as needed; weekend/evening and holiday call assignments
