HOSPICE REGISTERED NURSE

Job Summary
HOSPICE REGISTERED NURSE (RN) per diem providing care and documentation that meets reimbursement guidelines, coordinating physical care with family, patient, physician and Hospice team, and communicating with patients, families, and agency personnel. Participates in IDT meetings and quality reviews. Requires current RN licensure and nursing education from an approved program, with two years of clinical nursing experience and preferred hospice experience. Travel as needed; CPR certification; adherence to agency policies and background checks. Attend to patient care needs in a hospice/home health setting with emphasis on compassion, dignity, and quality of care.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in state of practice
- successful completion of a nursing education from an approved school of nursing
- two years of clinical nursing experience
- at least one year of hospice nursing experience preferred
- working knowledge of nursing principles as per nursing practice act and agency policies
- 12 hours of continuing education annually
- CPR certification
- travel based on agency need as well as weekend/evening and holiday call assignments
