Job Summary
Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) in Mt. Airy, NC for full-time employment with Liberty Hospice. Responsibilities include applying nursing theories to patient care and documentation meeting reimbursement guidelines, coordinating physical care with family, patient, physician and Hospice team, communicating with patients/families and agency personnel, attending IDT meetings and quality reviews, and traveling as needed. Requires current RN licensure, completion of nursing education from an approved school, at least two years of clinical nursing experience with hospice experience preferred, knowledge of hospice/home health program operations, ongoing continuing education (12 hours annually), CPR certification, and ability to travel and cover after-hours/holiday assignments. Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in state of practice
- successful completion of a nursing education from an approved school of nursing
- two years of clinical nursing experience
- at least one year of hospice nursing experience preferred
- Knowledge of hospice/home health program operations
- Working knowledge of nursing principles and procedures as per applicable policies
- 12 hours of continuing education annually
- CPR certification
- willingness to travel as needed and to cover weekend/evening/holiday call assignments
