Job Summary
Hospice Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care in patients' homes and communities, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient and family assessments, developing and revising plans of care, administering medications, educating patients and families on self-care and disease management, coordinating with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, participating in on-call duties, ensuring a safe home environment, and maintaining clinical documentation. Requires Florida RN license, strong communication skills, ability to lift and transfer patients, and a valid driver’s license for home-based visits. On-site patient care in Miami, FL.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida in good standing
- Minimum of 1 year of professional nursing experience within the last 3 years; or BSN with minimum of 2 years’ experience in public health, home care, or hospice nursing
Desired Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- Public health/home health or hospice nursing experience preferred
- Management experience not required
