Job Summary
Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the PCT I at Franciscan performs delegated patient care activities aligned with age-specific and patient needs. Responsibilities include ADLs (bathing, oral care, grooming), assisting with meals and feeding, positioning, ambulation, mobilization, elimination, data collection (vital signs, intake & output, weights, specimen collection), restocking supplies, and transporting patients by wheelchair, cart, bed, or bassinet. Night shifts are 7pm–7:30am (three 12-hour shifts per week). Travel is never or rarely required. The role may involve Patient Call-lights and Telecommunication systems (Vocera). Requires BLS certification and either CNA license, nursing student status after first semester of clinicals, prior PCT experience, or completion of Franciscan PCT In-training program. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED - Preferred
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) License, OR Nursing student after having completed 1st semester of clinicals, OR prior PCT experience in another acute care health care organization, OR Franciscan PCT In-training program- Required
