Job Summary
The Music Therapist provides music therapy under clinical direction to hospice patients, conducting assessments to determine appropriate indications for therapy and delivering ongoing interventions to alleviate anxiety, depression, isolation, agitation, restlessness, pain, tension, and promote comfort. Responsibilities include documenting clinical notes within 24 hours, coordinating with the clinical team on treatment appropriateness/contraindications, and performing additional duties as assigned. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy and MT-BC certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel locally to patient sites. Work schedule is part-time (48 hours bi-weekly) with weekday shifts 8:00 am–4:30 pm, every other Thursday, no weekends or holidays. Preferred qualifications include 1-2 years of clinical music therapy experience in home health, hospice, or senior care. Location: Saint Cloud, MN (serving St. Cloud & Litchfield area).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from an accredited music therapy program
- Current MT–BC certification from Certification Board for Music Therapists
- Valid Driver's License, proof of insurance and satisfactory motor vehicle record
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats
- Ability to follow safety rules, HIPAA, and applicable regulations
