Job Summary
Provide music therapy under the direction of the Clinical Director for hospice patients. Assess patients and direct/assist through music therapy interventions to alleviate anxiety, depression, isolation, agitation, restlessness, sleeplessness, pain, tension, relaxation, and comfort. Maintain clinical records within 24 hours of sessions and contribute to the patient’s plan of care. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy and MT–BC certification; valid driver’s license; driving is required for local travel. Part-time schedule on weekdays 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with every-other-Thursday requirement; no weekends or holidays. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from an accredited music therapy program
- Current MT–BC certification from Certification Board for Music Therapists
- Valid Driver’s License, proof of insurance and satisfactory motor vehicle record
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats
- Ability to follow safety rules/policies including HIPAA, Universal Precautions, OSHA, and related regulations
