Job Summary
Massage Therapist providing therapeutic touch as part of an integrated care team for hospice patients in Harrisonville, MO. Responsibilities include delivering licensed massage therapy (Swedish Massage, Comfort Touch, Energy work) per plan of care, assessing patient needs, documenting sessions within 24-48 hours, ensuring HIPAA compliance, communicating with the Clinical Supervisor/Manager, and contributing to interdisciplinary care and quality improvement. Requires graduation from an accredited Massage Therapy program, an active Massage Therapist license in practicing states, a valid driver’s license, and ability to pass background checks and drug testing. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Massage Therapy program
- Current Massage Therapist License or Bodywork Therapist License in practicing states
- Valid State Driver’s License, with vehicle and insurance as required
- Ability to pass background checks, consumer report, and drug test
- Maintains HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Documentation of clinical notes within 24-48 hours of sessions
- Observes and reports patient responses to Clinical Supervisor/Manager
- Educates clinical team on treatment appropriateness and contraindications
- Maintains required documentation in patient records
- Follows plan of care and uses approved modalities (e.g., Swedish Massage, Comfort Touch, Energy work)
- Participates in quality improvement activities
