Job Summary
Assess patients for medical indications and perform therapy interventions to alleviate symptoms of anxiety, depression, pain, muscle tension, and limited mobility. Utilize gentle techniques including manual lymphatic drainage, aromatherapy, and reflexology to promote relaxation and comfort. Maintain clinical records and coordinate notes within 24 hours of sessions while providing ongoing education to the clinical team regarding treatment appropriateness. Work part-time on weekdays with 48 hours bi-weekly, including every other Tuesday, in the North Branch territory. Requires local travel and adherence to safety policies including HIPAA and Vulnerable Adult regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year of clinical massage therapy experience
- Successful completion of a massage therapy certification course
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
- Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including, but not limited to, Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations
- 48 scheduled hours every 2 weeks - every other Tuesday
- Local Travel Required
Desired Qualifications
- Current certification through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB)
- Previous experience in home health, hospice or senior care environment
