Job Summary
Provide end-of-life nursing care in hospice and home health settings with a weekend availability. Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state of practice with CPR certification. Must have a valid driver’s license and insured vehicle. Self-directed, capable of working with minimal supervision, and able to organize and prioritize workload. Requires physical ability to assist with lifting, transferring, and positioning patients, as well as performing nursing skills with good observation, problem solving, and communication abilities. Work locations include Escondido, Temecula, and Murrieta in California; in-person care across these San Diego County-area sites.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of practice
- Maintains a current CPR certification
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order
- 1 year or more of hospice and home health nursing experience preferred
- Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
- Demonstrates excellent observation, problem solving, verbal and written communications, nursing skills per competency checklist
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload independently
- Prolonged or considerable walking or standing; ability to lift, position, and/or transfer patients; ability to lift supplies and equipment; capable of reaching/kneeling/bending/becoming adaptable to physical tasks
- Visual acuity and hearing to perform required nursing skills
