Job Summary
Conduct bedside clinical observations, process physician orders, and provide physical and emotional support to patients under RN case manager direction. Monitor patient conditions, report significant changes, and collaborate with the RN to maximize comfort while addressing family psychosocial and spiritual needs. Utilize monitoring, intervention, and teaching skills to enhance the quality of life for the patient and family unit. Requires current Florida LPN license, one year acute care experience, and IV certification. Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.
Required Qualifications
- graduate of an approved nursing program
- current Florida LPN license
- Minimum one year experience in an acute care setting, providing direct patient care
- Completion of an approved 30 hour IV certification course
Desired Qualifications
- previous experience as a hospice LPN
