Job Summary
As a Hospice Home Health Aide, you will provide essential care and support to patients at the end of life, focusing on enhancing comfort and maintaining quality of life. Responsibilities include performing basic patient care activities, assisting with personal care and daily living activities, reporting changes in patient conditions, and maintaining accurate patient documentation. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, STNA certification, one year of clinical experience, a valid Ohio driver’s license, and BLS certification. This role requires night shifts, and caregivers will be supported by a dedicated team in a respected healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) Certification with the State of Ohio Nurse’s Aide Registry
- One year of clinical experience as an Aide in an acute, rehab or skilled nursing setting
- Valid Driver’s License (VDL) in Ohio and proof of $100,000/$300,000 automobile insurance coverage
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) within orientation period
Desired Qualifications
- Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse Assistant (CHPNA) Certification
- Home Care experience
Additional Requirements
- Must comply with influenza prevention program including obtaining an influenza vaccination annually or obtaining an approved exemption
