Hospice Grant Writer (PRN)

Job Summary
Grant writer for a hospice nonprofit in a PRN, flexible role. Responsible for researching grant opportunities, writing clear and compelling proposals, managing timelines and reporting, collaborating with clinical/administrative teams, tracking submissions and outcomes, ensuring compliance with grant guidelines, and cultivating relationships with funding agencies and foundations. Requires proven grant-writing experience (healthcare/hospice/nonprofit preferred), strong writing/editing/storytelling skills, excellent research and organizational abilities, knowledge of funding sources (government and private), and the ability to work independently with multiple priorities. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Offers flexible scheduling and an opportunity to support compassionate end-of-life care.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Healthcare, or a related field preferred
- Proven experience in grant writing (healthcare, hospice, or nonprofit experience preferred)
- Knowledge of funding sources, including government and private grants
- Experience with grant management tools and Microsoft Office
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Excellent research and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Familiarity with hospice care or healthcare services is a plus
