Hospice Director of Nursing DON

Direct and coordinate clinical departments, assuming responsibility for continuity, quality, and safety of services delivered in compliance with state and federal regulations. Lead a team of skilled nurses and caregivers, ensuring delivery of exceptional patient care while monitoring appropriate staffing and productivity. Supervise subordinates to ensure adherence to the Plan of Care, assessment of patient needs, and continuity of services through the Interdisciplinary Group/Team. Monitor the QAPI Program, identify problem areas via written reports, and promote compliance with third-party payors through education and coaching. Maintain mandatory continuing education and infection control standards while facilitating effective communication across the team.
