Job Summary
Hospice Director of Clinical Services (RN) responsible for supervising patient and family care per the plan of care, managing the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) including scheduling, mentoring and timekeeping, and overseeing the consultative process between the Medical Director and IDT. Lead IDT meetings, ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, and manage EMR documentation workflow to support high-quality hospice care. Requires active RN license, with leadership experience and preferred hospice/home health exposure; BSN favored and certification in Hospice and Palliative Nursing a plus. The role emphasizes care coordination, team leadership, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in patient and family care within Compassus’s home-based hospice services.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of employment
- Minimum of three years in healthcare
- Leadership or management experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred (BSN a plus)
- Certification in Hospice and Palliative Nursing a plus but not required
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems a strong plus
