Hospice Director of Clinical Services

Job Summary
Ensure agency compliance with all applicable state and federal home health laws and regulations. Coordinate and oversee all direct and indirect patient services provided by clinical organization personnel. Provide guidance and counseling to coordinators and Clinical Supervisors to continually improve hospice care services. Assist in managing clinical teams, planning, and evaluating performance of Clinical Supervisors. Conduct annual evaluations on clinicians and oversee maintenance of patient clinical records, statistics, and reports. Develop and administer organization policies and procedures while promoting hospice referrals in the health care community. Act as the acting Executive Director/Administrator in the absence of the Executive Director. This role supports the quality and safe delivery of hospice services at Guardian Hospice in Sherman, Texas, and Durant, Oklahoma, focusing on end-of-life care that guards dignity and maintains comfort.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program by the National League for Nursing
- Three years of management experience in a hospice or related health care organization
- Registered nurse in the State with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel
- Ability to market and deal tactfully with customers and the community
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or Organization requirements and is in good working order
- Has excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of business management, governmental regulations and Joint Commission standards
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in hospice preferred
