Job Summary
Hospice Consultant to join Legacy Hospice's Business Development team in Independence, MO. Focus on building relationships, driving referrals with physicians/hospitals/senior living communities, educating professionals and the public about hospice care, and supporting census/admissions growth. Responsibilities include promoting hospice services to referral sources, educating on Medicare guidelines, coordinating document delivery and care initiation with physician offices and branch teams, developing marketing plans with the Regional VP of BD, tracking referral trends, participating in community events and public speaking, and maintaining timely documentation of calls and territory activity. Requires college degree or equivalent experience (3+ years of B2B sales if no degree), valid driver's license, strong communication, CRM proficiency, self-management of territory, and hospital/healthcare experience is a plus. Required Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent experience
- In lieu of college degree 3+ years of B2B sales experience (required)
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic tech skills (mobile device, email, CRM entry)
- Self-starter with the ability to manage your own territory and schedule
- Hospice or healthcare experience is a plus, but not required
- Pre-employment drug screening is required, including testing for marijuana
